PROJECT DELIVERY
MENTAL HEALTH
TACKLING POVERTY

I have had a diverse career since the day I took on my first job in the Civil Service, intended to be a "summer job" while I figured out my career (and ending up being my place of work for almost 20 years).

I found my first calling in Project Management, beginning my career journey as a Configuration Librarian for a small project team. Over time, I progressed through various roles from Workstream Lead to Project Manager, from Head of Planning to Programme Manager. I worked on a range of project initiatives from small infrastructure upgrades to major systems migrations, from HR cultural programmes to multi-organisational contract changes, and many more.

After a brief period working in a HR department as a Talent Attraction Manager, my own personal experiences led me to pursue opportunities in the mental health sector. After I left the civil service, I had the privilege of joining the Senior Management Team of one of Wales' biggest mental health charities. As well as acting in the role of Mental Health Champion in a number of organisations, I continue to this day as a volunteer for a national mental health campaign.

I explored different career opportunities including working for the NHS Wales Collaborative and a role as a Regional Transformation Manager but I found my calling when I joined Swansea Council's Tackling Poverty Service. As a Service Manager, I lead a number of service delivery teams working to support the people and communities of Swansea. My aim is to create and manage person-centred, strengths-based, data driven services that help people overcome challenges to living their own version of their best life.
