Our Story

FED began as an idea for how to show the world that men can support each other when faced with the everyday challenges of survival. Our founder, Lee Cambule, had lived his adult life dealing with depression and anxiety. His experiences helped him become a mental health public speaker, author and blogger but he wanted to find a way to help more men with their own struggles.

He saw many brands, influencers, public figures and messages in relation to mental health through his various roles and promotional activities but something was missing. Mental health is just one aspect of life that men struggle with and sometimes, mental health is impacted by other struggles.

Grief. Trauma. Homelessness. Personal goals like losing weight or gaining qualifications. Mental health issues like depression or physical health issues like infertility, cancer or recovery from life-threatening injuries. Testing careers, testing relationships, testing circumstances. Challenges being a father, a provider, a leader, a man.

We want to see a world where men who are fighting every day to survive, grow and move forward are recognised and feel encouraged to face life’s challenges with courage, responsibility and purpose.
